Unlike slots or Sports Betting where luck plays a dominant role, poker is a game where skill, strategy and psychology determine who wins over the long run. Players who truly understand position, pot odds, hand reading and bankroll management can consistently beat their opponents — and that's what sets poker apart from every other game on an online casino platform. ekplus8 understands the unique appeal of this game and provides the ideal environment for Malaysian players to grow and win.
Poker platform ekplus8 offers six of the most popular poker variants among Asian and international players. Texas Hold'em remains the top choice for its balance between straightforward rules and near-limitless strategic depth — it's the variant played at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the most widely televised form of the game. For players seeking a greater challenge, Omaha Hi-Lo delivers more complex mechanics where players must use exactly two of their four hole cards — the need to think in two directions simultaneously (high and low) makes Omaha a considerably more demanding game analytically.
One of the features most valued by the Malaysian poker community at ekplus8 is the quality of the opponents you're matched with. The ekplus8 matching system ensures new players aren't thrown straight into tables with seasoned veterans — instead, you'll be paired with players of a similar level first. This creates a healthier, more meaningful learning environment for newcomers, while experienced players can choose to move up to higher-stakes tables against more competitive opposition.
Tournament schedule ekplus8 ranks among the most active in Malaysia. Daily tournaments kick off every night at 21:00 with a RM5,000 guaranteed prize pool, giving anyone who buys in at RM50 the chance to compete for a substantial share. The weekly Grand Weekly Tournament offers a RM25,000 guaranteed prize pool every Sunday — a serious opportunity for players willing to put in a few hours of competitive poker. For ekplus8 VIP players, the monthly VIP Tournament featuring a RM100,000 prize pool is the ultimate milestone every serious poker player on the platform aspires to reach.
From a security and game integrity standpoint, ekplus8 invests seriously in technology to detect collusion and poker bots. Our anti-collusion system analyses betting patterns in real time to flag any suspicious activity. All cards are dealt using an independently certified random number generator (RNG), ensuring no player gains an unfair advantage. The trust of Malaysia's poker community is the asset we protect above all else.
For players who are new to poker, ekplus8 offers a free practice mode with unlimited play money across all variants. You can play for hours without spending a single ringgit to get a feel for the game flow, learn how to read community cards, and know when to fold versus when to raise aggressively. It's time well invested — jumping straight into real-money play before you've mastered the basics will only lead to losses that could easily have been avoided.
Rakeback programme ekplus8 delivers real value to active players. Unlike other platforms that simply collect rake with no returns, ekplus8 automatically refunds 20% of the rake you pay every week. For frequent players, this weekly rakeback can add up to a substantial sum over the course of a month — extra funds you can put toward tournament buy-ins or higher-stakes tables.
Smooth transactions are a non-negotiable for Malaysian players who play regularly. ekplus8 supports all major local digital payment methods — Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow and FPX via Maybank2u or CIMB Clicks. Winnings withdrawals are processed in as little as 15 minutes, far faster than most platforms that take 1–3 business days. Your winnings are entirely yours, and ekplus8 places no unreasonable barriers on withdrawals.
